You can be an important part of what we do at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital by becoming a member. It is free and easy to join and it gives you the chance to show your support, help shape our future and hear our news. Most importantly, you will be eligible to vote to elect other members to the council of governors and can stand for election yourself if you wish.
We want to keep in touch with as many members as possible by email as this is the quickest and most cost effective method of communication. If you want to give us your email address, or update any of your contact details, please contact our membership office on freephone 0800 694 0180. Or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Foundation Trusts (FTs) are more focused on community involvement and on ensuring that local people, patients and staff have a say in how services are delivered in the future.
Members have the opportunity to actively shape the future of FTs and so the more members we have the more voices we can listen to when we plan our services in the future.
Our members will have a number of important roles to perform. They can:
- Stand for election to the Council of Governors
- Vote in the Council of Governor elections
- Act as an ambassador of the Trust
- Reflect public opinion on the Trust’s services
- Participate in events, surveys, consultations and discussions about Trust services
- Give feedback on business plans, annual reports, newsletters and other documents
Help recruit more members.
Being a member is a voluntary role and there is no financial benefit or cost.
Members will receive regular communications, keeping them in touch with developments and seeking views on any proposed changes.
