R Charity, has recently launched its new appeal, and aims to
raise several million pounds in order to support Cancer, Haematology, Stroke
services and Critical Care facilities at the new hospital, set to open in 2017.
We have chosen these key areas to fundraise for as they are areas which affect
so many families in Merseyside.
Fundraising monies will be used to purchase specialist
equipment in the above area’s and will also help to create a more relaxing and
welcoming environment in the new hospital by funding waiting room spaces,
recreation rooms and outdoor spaces.
Some examples are below
- Fund a computer suite in
the new Teenage Young Adults ward providing specialist care for patients
aged 16 to 25
- Fund a Mammography scanner
in the new Breast Assessment Unit
- Fund a PET scanner in the
Critical Care Unit
The new Royal will be the largest in the country and with
your help we can ensure we have the very best facilities for our patients, their
families and our invaluable staff above and beyond what can be paid for by NHS
funds.
