Governance

What we do

Good governance is important as it keeps both our staff and patients safe.  Much of the work of the Governance team is directed to making sure we are compliant with standards that are set by people who externally regulate healthcare, such as the Department of Health (DoH), Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the National Health Service Litigation Authority (NHSLA).

We are required, as all healthcare providers are, to declare that we comply with CQC standards and a copy of our registration certificate confirming our compliance can be found here

Each year we have to produce a Quality Account which describes the quality of services we provide, and is designed to ensure our patients, the public, our Commissioners and other partners rigorously assess and monitor the quality of the care and treatment we provide to our patients.  A copy of our Quality Account can be found here.
