
What We Do
The St Paul’s Eye Unit, at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital provides a world renowned ophthalmic service not only to the local community of Liverpool, it also services regional, national and global referrals to the highly trained and dedicated team of specialist ophthalmologists who have expertise in a wide variety of eye conditions.
The ophthalmologists are backed up by a highly trained and qualified team of nurses, technicians and administrators, who continually strive to improve the standard and quality and care delivered for patients and to this end the directorate actively undertakes public and service user involvement.
Staff are also involved in meeting community and service user groups outside the hospital environment.

Department of Eye and Vision Science, Institute of Ageing and Chronic Disease, University of Liverpool, with a long tradition of research based care of the highest quality, and is why St Paul’s continues to be the centre of excellence for both care and education.
