Biography
Dr Gary Masterson was appointed as a consultant in Critical Care Medicine and Anaesthesia in 1997. He studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and undertook his postgraduate medical training in NW England. He then completed two fellowships in the United States (Critical Care at the R Adams Shock Trauma Centre in Baltimore and Transplant Anaesthesia at the University of Maryland). Since his appointment as a consultant he has also held the posts of Clinical Director of Critical Care Medicine and Secretary of the Association of Merseyside Intensive Care Units. He is currently the Medical Lead for the Cheshire & Mersey Critical Care Network
