Biography
I am a breast surgeon with a particular interest in breast reconstruction and breast oncoplastic surgery.
I have wider interest in the organisation and delivery of cancer services and am Cancer Lead for the Royal Liverpool University Hospital Trust and Medical Director of the Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network.
I run a large portfolio of breast cancer trials, and am a member of the National Cancer Research Institute Breast Clinical Trials Group.
I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Liverpool University and have published extensibely on the psychological impact of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.
I have trained widely in general surgery and did my MD thesis while working as a surgeon in West Africa.

Training
A broad surgical training throughout England, with 3 years spent working as a surgeon in Nigeria. Specialist training at the National Cancer Centre in Tokyo, and at Emory in Atlanta, USA
