Michael Briggs is consultant ophthalmic Surgeon in Royal Liverpool University Hospital’s St. Paul’s Eye Unit. He graduated from the University of Glasgow Medical School in 1986 and received his postgraduate training in Ophthalmology in Glasgow and Liverpool. He was appointed consultant at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital at the beginning of 2001, which includes directorship of St. Paul’s Primary Care clinic at the Royal. His clinical interests are, in addition to general ophthalmology and cataract surgery, emergency ophthalmology and the medical treatment of retinal disease.
