Biography
Richard Azurdia is a Consultant Dermatologist & Clinical Director of Dermatology at Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospital. He studied medicine at Nottingham Medical School and has worked across the UK and in Australia prior to Specialist Dermatology training in Liverpool since 1996. Having completed his SPR training in 2001, he was appointed as a Consultant. As well as adult general dermatology, he has a regular skin cancer clinic, runs the phototherapy service and also leads the supraregional cutaneous lymphoma service. He previously worked as Co-Chairman of the Merseyside & Cheshire Cancer Network skin cancer CNG and was previously skin cancer lead for the Trust.
He was appointed Clinical Director of dermatology in 2010 and during his period in office has overseen the implementation of the community ICATS dermatology service and the rebuilding and redevelopment of the Broadgreen Dermatology & Allergy Clinic.
