Who we are

Easy Read Information

This page gives you information about R Charity.

It tells you about it's fundraising target and some of it's activities.

Who we are

The R Charity raises funds to enable the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust (The Royal) to provide the best possible health care to our patients from Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

We want to make sure that care in the new Royal is the very best by ensuring:

  • our doctors and nurses have the latest state-of-the-art equipment to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients
  • we have an environment that gives the best experience for patients and families anywhere in the NHS

What we do

Topping Out ceremonyThis is an exciting time for us at R Charity and all those involved with the hospital. The new Royal is really taking shape and is due to open Summer 2018.

At R Charity we want to make sure the hospital can provide a world-class service for our region that goes beyond even the NHS standard of care.

Our aim is to raise £10 million for the new hospital.

We are targeting our fundraising on a number of carefully selected areas which will help provide comfortable patient environments, welcoming visitors’ areas and world class medical equipment. Every bit of support we receive – large or small – makes a difference.

All the equipment is in addition to equipment that the NHS can fund and your generosity will make our hospital one of the best in the country.

r charity muddy£10m – who will help?

We have received support from individuals, community groups, larger organisations, businesses and other charities.

Whether small or large, we welcome anyone who wants to join us to raise funds and have some fun at the same time.
