Everything you need to know to be an RLB Volunteer.

About the RLB Volunteer Programme

In December 2016, the RLB Volunteer Programme was officially launched.  The programme will offer our volunteers the opportunity to receive further training to provide them with new set of skills that would further support our service users and well as enhance their experience in their volunteering roles.

The delivery of the programme consists of a study afternoon where key knowledge and skills are further enhanced through the input of specialist practitioners. There will also be the flexible drop-in sessions where focussed training on specific skills relevant to the volunteering role is delivered.

The completion of the programme is marked by a graduation ceremony which is an auspicious occasion to celebrate the hard work and commitment of our volunteers. It is also an opportunity to involve families and friends in the celebration of their achievement. One of the highlights of the graduation is the awarding of the RLB Volunteer Badge. Inspired by Liverpool, its historical link to healthcare and the vision of the Trust, the badge is something that should be worn with great pride. It also signifies skill, competence and commitment which will hopefully serve as source of inspiration and motivation for our future volunteers.
