Training remains an important aspect of the work of the Safeguarding Team. Following the introduction of the Care Act and changes to working together 2015, the training package for Staff has been amended. The revised Training Needs Analysis undertaken has identified that in order to maintain compliance 120 staff are required to attend Safeguarding training per month.

All Staff should access their ESR training compliance to check the level of Safeguarding training that is required for their role.

Level One and Level Two training is completed via ESR e-learning packages.

Level Three training is currently provided via Microsoft Teams and has been split into two separate 4-hour training packages: Level 3 Adults Safeguarding and Level 3 Children Safeguarding.

Staff will need to contact Learning & Development to check availability and book a place on to Level Three training sessions.
