Practice Education Facilitators

A team of Practice Education Facilitators ensure all our students get the best out of their training with us. Mentors and Practice Educators support our students throughout their training at our hospitals.

Learning and support continues once you have completed your course. The Trust offers a comprehensive preceptorship programme for all newly qualified healthcare professionals starting their very first Band 5 post.

We also offer a range of post-qualification courses.

If you are a student on an undergraduate healthcare course you can enquire about an elective placement with us

The main focus of the Practice Education Facilitators' role is to assist in maintaining the quality of the practice learning environment and also to drive interprofessional learning in practice. We do this by:

  • Providing ongoing support to professionals who have a responsibility for supervising students.
  • Providing advice and guidance on working within Regulatory Body Standards.
  • Offering opportunities for staff to access mentor/educator updates.
  • Offering access to study sessions for staff and students.
  • Working in partnership with Universities to assure the quality of practice learning.
