We aim to achieve this by continuous evaluation of our service and involvement in clinical research.

The department has recognised expertise in the following areas
Should you require further information regarding specific conditions we would recommend you visit the Liverpool Upper Limb Unit or the British Society for Surgery of the Hand websites.
You will be referred to our services by either your GP or by other medical services within the hospital or from whom you have previously received treatment.
Our clinics take place on Mondays at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Specialist hand therapists
We have a close working relationship with occupational therapists and physiotherapists. For some conditions and for some patients after having surgery, hand therapy forms a vital part of the treatment. Where required we may be able to organise specialist hand therapy and splintage on the day that you are seen in clinic.
If you require a clinic appointment or wish to enquire about your appointment you can contact the outpatient department on 0151 706 5555
