The laboratory is also a regional reference centre for specialist investigations in the diagnosis and monitoring of haemostatic and thrombotic conditions such as Haemophilia and Lupus.

The laboratory works closely with the Roald Dahl Haemostasis and Thrombosis Centre (RDHT) situated on the Royal Liverpool site and provides the International Normalised Ratio test (INR) for the monitoring of Warfarin therapy.

Testing is also offered for other anticoagulant treatments such as Heparin and Fragmin as well as clotting factor tests required for the support of Haemophiliac patients.

The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal. If you have a hospital appointment then you should attend as planned.
