The Liverpool Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Service is a specialist multi-disciplinary team of nurses, occupational therapists, a clinical psychologist and therapy assistant, along with administration support. It is a regional centre accepting referrals from all over the North West of England.
History
The service was set up more than twenty five years ago by Dr Nye, Consultant Physician who was interested in medically unexplained presentations and undertook research into the condition. The current service delivers NICE Guideline specialist treatment and has more recently expanded and broadened the pathway of delivery of care.
