The Orthodontic Department is located on the second floor of Liverpool University Dental Hospital.
The Department provides a Consultant led service delivering secondary and tertiary care for patients with severe malocclusions.
We provide specialist orthodontic advise for children and adults on the diagnosis and management of patients with a malocclusion.
We provide specialist, often multidisciplinary, treatment for patients who have a significant malocclusion and those severe dento-facial anomalies and/or severe hypodontia.
We undertake complex orthodontic treatment that may need to be combined with either restorative dental treatment and/or orthognathic surgery to replace missing teeth and/or correct their skeletal discrepancy.
Referrals
Patients are referred from primary and secondary care for orthodontic assessment and would be expected to have a well maintained dentition with no active or untreated decay and with a high standard of oral hygiene
