Information on the orthoptics department at St Paul’s Eye Unit at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital
Orthoptists diagnose and treat defects of vision and abnormalities in a patient’s eye movement. We assess patients’ eye movements, visual performance, double vision and squints.
We’re the only dedicated adult orthoptist service in the North West and our patients are generally referred to us by another specialist service.
All orthoptists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, the independent UK-wide health regulator which sets standards of professional training, performance and conduct for orthoptists and other health professionals.
We’re on the Lower Ground floor of the New Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
