Mr Chua graduated from University of Edinburgh in 2009. He completed 7 years of Ophthalmic Specialist Training in North of Scotland. During that time, he did one year of Advanced Sub-specialty Training in surgical and medical retina in Inverness. Subsequently, he completed another 2 years of advanced vitreo-retinal surgery fellowship training at Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh and St Paul’s Eye Unit in Liverpool. Mr Chua practices general ophthalmology and specialises in vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery and diabetic retinopathy. He is a clinical supervisor for ophthalmology trainees and vitreoretinal fellows. He is actively involved in medical education and clinical research at St Paul’s Eye Unit. He has published his research papers in high-impact peer reviewed journals such as British Journal of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology and Retina.
