St Paul’s Research Foundation

St Paul’s Research Foundation is a registered charity that funds ground-breaking research into curing eye disease and preventing and sight loss.

Our Mission

To improve lives by preventing sight loss and eye disease through world-leading, pioneering research.

Our Vision

To cure eye disease and prevent sight-loss.

Every six minutes, someone is told that they’re going blind. Two million people in the UK are living with sight loss and this is set to increase by 4 million by 2050*. Losing your sight can have a devastating impact, which is why our specialists work to pioneer new and more effective treatments.

We fund pioneering research between St Paul’s Eye Unit’s world-leading clinicians and academics at the Department of Eye and Vision Science at the University of Liverpool. Working tirelessly to cure eye disease and prevent sight-loss, our impact is renowned not only in the UK - but world-wide.
