From here you can find out more about our research and development target including clinical recruitment.
The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals have the largest number of active research projects in Merseyside and Cheshire. We are committed to improving out performance in time to first patient recruited, meeting time to total recruitment targets, and maintaining our performance in time to Trust approval.
As part of out contractual arrangements with the Department of Health, the Trust is obliged to publish its Performance on Initiating (PI) for all interventional research and its Performance on Delivery (PD) of research for all commercial interventional studies that were open at the Trust within in last 12 months. This performance is measured against three targets:
The number of new studies delivered in the NHS has increased, and the number of patients engaged in research activity has hit an all-time high. We are one of the top 100 performing Trusts committed to delivering clinical research to time and target. Visit the NIHR Clinical Research Network performance page to find out more about how Trusts are performing on research.
