Public asked to share their views in preparation of the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital opening

We’ve launched a Big Conversation to better understand the views of our patients and the public, to find out how you feel about the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

As we look ahead to moving into the new hospital in Autumn 2022, we’re excited to be able to share more details about our plans for moving and want to hear from the communities we serve to learn more about what is important to you, regarding your new Royal.

This includes any concerns you may have, or suggestions on how we can best support patients as we move in.

The state-of the-art hospital will be the biggest in the country to provide inpatients with 100% single ensuite bedrooms, improving patient experience, safety and enhanced recovery.

Here at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT), we play a significant role in improving Liverpool’s physical, social, and economic health, and the new Royal Hospital is a vital part of this. It’s more than bricks and mortar – it will enable us to fundamentally improve healthcare across all of our hospitals and help us address the serious health inequalities that exist within Liverpool City Region.

How you can help

Your feedback through this Big Conversation will help further develop our plans for supporting patients at the new Royal Hospital.

A short survey has been created to enable patients and the public to provide us with your feedback and any comments. You can complete this here. The survey closes on 29 July 2022.

We’ll also be hosting a Big Conversation event in conjunction with local Healthwatch groups, where you will have opportunity to hear the latest about the hospital and our plans on supporting patients as we begin to move. More information on this will be shared soon.
