Support Our Staff appeal

We have been humbled by the many kind offers of support for our staff during this particularly demanding time. 

While we appreciate everyone's kind thoughts and actions, we need to ensure that members of the public do not visit our hospital sites unnecessarily.

This is to protect their own health, reduce the risk to our staff and patients, and to encourage everyone to follow the Government's advice. Our staff are also focused on the response to COVID-19 and do not have the capacity to manage lots of ad-hoc donations.

These funds will allow us to purchase key items that our staff will need to support their welfare during this period.

We have had a number of generous offers of accommodation. We have implemented a local accommodation plan for our staff in partnership with the Liverpool Hoteliers Association and the University of Liverpool. At the moment we have sufficient accommodation for staff requiring this support.

Our local food bank partners are still welcoming donations to help the most needy in our communities.

For those who want to donate food or toiletries, we ask that you support local food banks and do not bring anything to our hospitals.

Food banks can best be supported through local supermarkets – you can drop items off in collection bins while you're doing essential shopping. This will reduce any unnecessary travel.

They have nine sites across the city and can accept donations at Clubmoor Community Centre on Larkhill Lane. Please check before arranging to visit the centre.

Accepting donations at the main entrances of both cathedrals and have a dedicated address for online deliveries.

South Liverpool Food Bank

Also supported by the Trussell Trust, they currently have six sites operating as normal, and can accept donations at the Bridge Chapel Centre, Heath Road. As with the above, please check with them before arranging a delivery.
