Easy Read Information

This page has information about how we can provide someone to translate if you don't understand the English language.

Services offered

Many people who use our hospitals and services do not have English as a first language. We can provide interpreters for patients and their families when they come into hospital or arrange for printed information to be translated for them.

It is helpful to know in advance of an appointment so that an interpreter can be arranged. If you know that your relative or friend will need an interpreter when they come to hospital as an inpatient or outpatient it would be helpful if you could let staff know beforehand.

This website also has certain language translation on individual pages. Click on the flag icon in the top left corner of the website to choose from the language translations we offer.

The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal. If you have a hospital appointment then you should attend as planned.
