Salkantay Inca trek to Machu Picchu

Known by the Incas as the Home of the Gods, Cusco was the capital city of the Incas.

It’s name in Quechua, the Inca’s native language, means Navel of the World and this is where our adventure begins.

We will be departing on 30 September 2020 arriving back in the UK on 9 October 2020 - times to be confirmed.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1 – An Introduction to Cusco

Day 2 - Cusco Acclimatisation Walk

Day 3 – Cusco/Mollepata – Challacancha- Soraypampa (Humantay Lake) 12km/ 4600 metres ASL

Day 4 – Soraypampa/ Salkantay Pass- Huayracmachay- Colpapampa. 22km/ 4650metres ASL

Day 5 - Collpapampa- La Playa- Lucmabamba. 18KM/ 2750 metres ASL

Day 6 – Lucmabamba/ Llactapata- Hidroelectrica- Aguas Calientes. 18km/ 2450 metres ASL

Day 7 - The most important day- Machu Pichu!

Day 8 – Free day exploring Ollantaytambo

Day 9 - Arrive back in the UK
