Easy Read Information

More information on the RLB study days between the University of Liverpool and the Trust.

Academic nursing staff from the University of Liverpool facilitate the one day study day. Working in partnership with the University provides academic credence to the programme and facilitates nonpartisan discussion of local issues and participant concerns.

Any concerns raised are discussed and subsequently escalated to the senior nursing team, thus providing a further opportunity for ‘ward to board’ communication.

The study day consists of the following topics:

  • Programme introduction which is delivered by a member of the senior nursing team
  • Discussion of the RLB values and behaviours
  • Guidance with regards to completion of the portfolio
  • Introduction to human factors in healthcare
  • Finding the evidence to promote evidence-based practice
  • Introduction to the new Royal
  • Introduction to reflective practice
